April 25th - May 25th, 2014 - "Les Provocatrices", Solo Show at The Harlem Wine Gallery (NYC)
"This series comes from a need to be perfect, to seduce men, and exercise our sexual power to feel desirable and in control, but also to conform with the standards of the western societies and though thinking you feel good in your body.I recently found out that I have to accept my body as it is, even if it is not perfect, I just have to update my beauty standards. Beauty is a very relative notion. Life is too short to waste our time with constraints and frustration. I feel like this topic is kind of taboo, and should not be." - Clementine Djite
